Congratulations to our 2024 CUSLAI Delegad@ Fellow Award Winners

Isaac S. Del Bosque is a middle school Social Studies teacher and graduate student in the Latin American Studies program at the University of Texas at Dallas. Born in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, he spent most of his childhood in border cities such as Buffalo, New York and El Paso, Texas, before returning to Dallas. His passion for Latin American history began in his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin, where he majored in History with a focus on Mexico and US-Latin American relations. Being at UT Dallas, Isaac has found a new passion for studying the borderlands and is curious about the ways in which they socially impact those who live in these liminal spaces. The borderlands have also shaped his own Mexican American identity. He hopes to further his studies and one day teach classes on Mexican/Mexican American studies to college students.

Isabella Palazuelos is an undergraduate senior at The University of Texas at Dallas double-majoring in Psychology and Latin American Studies.
